Story of LightBud

Years ago, our family was given a holiday gift of a quartet of battery powered lanterns.
They were rechargeable.
And neatly docked on a recharging plate.

Unfortunately, they could not be used when on the plate - they were designed as "blackout lanterns" which only switched on when not connected to power.

What if there was a store that ONLY sold dual-use lanterns?
Lanterns which had their own rechargeable battery, and could also operate indefinitely while plugged in?

And so, LightBud was born!

LightBud Lanterns is our niche lighting store, searching for key elements from lighting product wholesalers:

1. Integrated rechargeable battery.
   No fumbling with crummy AA batteries which leak.
   
   
2. Ability to also operate while plugged in.
   Eternal beacon mode activated!
   
   
3. Wholesome and friendly appearance.
   Puppy lantern?  Ducky lantern?  Galaxy lantern?
   Take a look at what we have already found!

Of course, there are some outliers...
Take the Sound-Reactive PAC-MAN or Harry Potter Hogwarts lanterns for two examples.
They may not have onboard rechargeable batteries, but they really fit a niche setting.

We operate from a small home dwelling in Perth, Western Australia.
Like all online shoppers, we have come across our fair share of dodgy online stores.
We have no desire to burn others with goods that do not live up to expectations.

This idea of "only dual-use lanterns" is an idea we want to see through.
A niche idea, for a niche family run store.
